🌿 Living in Faith: From Small Prayers to Big Miracles

Have you ever had one of those months where faith just keeps popping up—In conversations, in sermons and podcasts, in your heart, and in those quiet moments with God? Yeah… same here.
Lately, faith has been front and center. But not just any kind of faith—persistent, never-give-up, childlike, "nagging-your-parent" faith. The kind of faith where you're praying not once or twice, but with a fire that refuses to quit. 💥
Let’s talk about that.
Let’s Get Real for a Minute
Have you ever found yourself praying and waiting… and waiting… and waiting some more? You believe. You trust. But the answer still hasn’t shown up. And sometimes, it feels like heaven’s gone a bit quiet.
This past month, faith has been showing up everywhere in my life—in conversations, in prayer, in challenges—and it’s made me realize something:
“We live by faith, not by sight.”— 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
Living in faith isn’t about one big moment of belief. It’s about waking up every day and choosing to trust again.
🗣️ Let’s Talk About Persistent Prayer
There’s a kind of faith that doesn’t give up easily. It’s not weak or passive. It’s persistent. It's childlike in the best way. It keeps going even when the results don’t come quickly.
Jesus Himself encouraged that kind of persistent faith:
“Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”— Luke 18:1 (NIV)
In that parable, He tells the story of a widow who kept coming to a judge again and again, asking for justice. She wore him down—not with manipulation, but with unrelenting, humble persistence.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”— Matthew 7:7 (NIV)
God isn’t an unjust judge—but Jesus uses this example to say, “If even a human can be moved by persistence, how much more will your loving Father respond?”
So yes—pray hard. Pray like a child asking their parent over and over. Not because God didn’t hear you the first time. But because you’re showing Him that you won’t stop trusting Him.
🙌 Gratitude: Thanking Him for the Small Things
Before we get the “big” miracle, God often gives us smaller signs—like stepping stones.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”— Zechariah 4:10 (NLT)
You might be praying for a breakthrough job—but maybe someone just mentioned your name in the right room. You’re praying for healing—but you had a good day with less pain. You’re praying for restoration—but a small door of communication opened.
These are not small things. They’re the foundation of the miracle. They’re how God builds your faith, brick by brick.
So celebrate the small wins .Say, “Thank You” for the daily bread—even while waiting for the feast.
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.”— Psalm 100:4 (NIV)
⚖️ Stewardship Starts Small
Here’s something we don’t talk about enough: God often tests your readiness for more… by how you handle the little He gives you.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…”— Luke 16:10 (NIV)
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.”— 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
You’re asking for a platform—are you being faithful with the few people He’s already put in your life? You’re praying for financial increase—are you managing what you have with integrity and generosity? You’re hoping for ministry doors to open—are you serving quietly, behind the scenes, right now?
Faith isn’t just in the asking. It’s also in the managing, the stewarding, the showing up when no one else sees.
God isn’t holding out on you .He’s building you up to carry the weight of what you’re praying for.
🕊️ Keep Talking to God
Above all, what God really wants is relationship.
Praying in faith isn't a formula. It’s not about “getting what we want” faster—it’s about becoming the kind of person who trusts deeply and consistently.
“The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.”— Psalm 145:18 (ESV)
“Pray continually.”— 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NIV)
Talk to Him every day. Not just when you're desperate—but also when you're grateful, when you're tired, when you're unsure, and when you're celebrating.
The conversation you have with God daily will shape the trust you walk in.
🗝️ The Key to Asking: Aligning with God’s Will
Let’s be honest—we can pray really hard for something. We can be persistent, full of faith, and speak every promise of God over our situation.
But here’s the truth: The power of prayer isn’t just in how long or hard we pray—it's in what we’re praying for.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”— 1 John 5:14 (NIV)
That’s the key. 🔑It’s not just asking for what we want—it’s asking for what He wants for us.
This is where real intimacy with God comes in. The more we spend time with Him—through the Word, through worship, through stillness—the more our desires begin to line up with His heart.
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”— Psalm 37:4 (ESV)
It doesn’t mean we stop asking boldly. It means we ask with trust—trust that God knows what’s best, even if the answer looks different than we expected.
So when you pray, yes—pray persistently. Pray with faith. But also pray like Jesus did:
“Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”— Luke 22:42 (NIV)
That kind of surrender doesn’t weaken your prayer life—it supercharges it. Because when your will aligns with God’s… nothing can stop the miracle that’s coming.
🌟 Encouragement
If you’re in a waiting season, you’re not failing. You’re growing.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”— Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Keep praying. Keep trusting.
Even when it feels long. Even when it’s quiet. Even when others don’t get it.
And in the meantime?
✅ Thank Him for the small stuff
✅ Steward what you already have
✅ Pray like you already believe it’s done
✅ Stay in conversation with God
The miracle is often already unfolding—you just haven’t seen the full picture yet.
So take heart. Stay faithful.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”— Romans 12:12 (NIV)
God sees your prayers, your persistence, and your praise.
He’s working behind the scenes—because you’re not forgotten.
You’re being prepared. 💛
