When Faith Gets Real: Trusting God When Life Makes No Sense
- Maybe ME

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get nearly enough honest airtime: waiting on God’s provision.
It’s tough. It’s stretching. It’s emotional. And sometimes, let’s be honest… it’s just plain exhausting.
We don’t often admit that the “waiting season” can feel like walking in the dark with only a flickering candle—enough to take the next step, but not enough to see the whole road.
But here’s the thing: waiting doesn’t mean God is absent. It doesn’t mean He’s late. It certainly doesn’t mean He’s forgotten you.
Sometimes, waiting is how God does His deepest work—not around us, but within us.
⏳ The Waiting Season Is Not Wasted
There are seasons where we pray, plan, hope, and dream... and then wait. And wait. And wait some more. That’s when the inner questions start creeping in:
“Did I hear God right?”
“Why is nothing happening?”
“Why them, Lord—and not me?”
“What am I doing wrong?”
It’s natural to wrestle with those thoughts. Even the strongest believers hit moments of spiritual weariness. But here’s what I’ve learned:
"Wait for the Lord ;be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."— Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
The waiting room is not a punishment—it’s preparation.
God isn’t ignoring you. He’s shaping you. Strengthening your spirit. Aligning things in the background that you can't see yet.
🤯 And Then Comes the Unexpected
Now let me be really honest with you…
Sometimes, just when you’ve settled into waiting, thinking you’ve made peace with the pause—God throws you into something you never saw coming.
Not even in your wildest dreams.
I had one of those moments recently—where life spun in a direction that caught me so off guard, I felt like I was free-falling with no safety net. I had been praying for clarity and provision… and God answered. Just not in the way I expected.
It wasn’t a soft yes. It was a "Here-you-go-now-trust-Me-with-everything" kind of yes.
A door opened that challenged my faith and forced me to step outside of my comfort zone and say: “Okay, Lord. I don’t understand it, but I trust You.”
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”— Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV)
That verse became more than just a pretty Instagram caption. It became my lifeline.
🙏 The Hardest Prayers Are Often the Most Honest
Let’s not sugarcoat this: talking to God while you’re in the unknown is hard. You want to pray bold, faith-filled prayers—but some days, all you can manage is:
“God, I don’t get it.” “Help me hold on.” “Please don’t let go of me.”
And you know what? That’s still prayer.
God doesn’t need long-winded, polished speeches. He just wants your heart. Your honesty. Your surrender.
“The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”— Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Some of my most powerful prayers have been whispered in my weakest moments.
🛑 But What About When You Want to Quit?
Here’s the raw truth: sometimes you’ll want to give up.
The silence from heaven might feel deafening. Your faith might feel like it’s running on fumes. You may feel like you’ve done everything right—and still feel like you’re falling behind.
But can I gently remind you: faith isn’t always a feeling. Sometimes faith is just showing up.
It’s opening your Bible when your heart feels numb. It’s praying when the answers don’t come. It’s choosing to keep believing when doubt screams louder than truth.
And yes, it’s okay if you’re tired. You’re not alone.
✨ God Is Still Writing Your Story
Sometimes we assume that if God doesn’t move the way we expected, the story must be over. But God is the Author. He sees the plot twists ahead. He’s already written the ending—and it’s good.
“Being confident of this very thing ,that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”— Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
So don’t give up in chapter 4 when God’s still writing chapter 20.
💬 From My Heart to Yours
If you’re in a waiting season or standing at the edge of something new and scary, I just want to say: I see you. And God sees you even more.
You’re not weak for feeling worn out. You’re not faithless because you have questions. You’re not behind—God’s timeline is different, and it’s always perfect.
So whether you’re still waiting, or walking into the unknown with trembling hands, know this:
You are held. You are seen. And you are right on time.
📖 A Prayer for Your Season
Father, I don’t always understand what You’re doing. But I choose to trust You anyway. Give me the strength to keep believing, the patience to wait well, nd the courage to walk in faith even when the road is unclear. Thank You that Your timing is perfect—always. Amen.
☀️ Keep the Faith, Even When It's Hard
Faith isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s just choosing to believe again today.
So if all you did this week was keep breathing, keep praying, and keep going—you’re doing better than you think.
God’s not finished. The breakthrough might look different than you imagined—but it’s coming. And when it does, you’ll be able to look back and say:
“It was hard… but He was faithful.”
